The soon to be released MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) is set in Tamriel’s Second Era, roughly 1,000 years before the events in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the coming of the Dragonborn, and just before the rise of Tiber Septim, the first Emperor of Tamriel.
Players can choose to join together in small adventure groups or large communities such as guilds. As part of a group you can work together to solve quests, head into epic battles or fight for the throne of Tamriel.
Multiplayer is an important part of our player versus player (PvP) option as well. The Elder Scrolls Online contains a massive PvP war in Cyrodiil. Three Alliances face off in an epic battle over Tamriel’s throne in the Imperial City. Forge alliances, storm fortresses, and overtake your foes as all of Tamriel joins the battle to become the emperor.
The game will have four key game play elements: World Immersion, Strategic and Reactive Combat, Unique Progression, and Modern Social Experience.
1.) World Immersion: With being an Elder Scrolls game, the story needs to flow together (NPC/Quests) and make sense to the player. Choices really have to matter in a mmo.
2.) Strategic and Reactive Combat: The game needs to feel like an Elder Scrolls game. TESO will have the same PC Control System for combat as in Oblivion and Skyrim.
3.) Unique Progression: Ensuring that you are able to build the character the way you desire. Every class will have access to every single weapon and armor in the game. You play the way you want to play.
4.) Modern Social Experience: The importance of acknowledging the key social networks that are available outside of the game. Integration will be key to bringing about the best social experience possible. (Twitter, Google+, Facebook, along with Mobile Support.) Along with focusing heavily on Guild Support.
There are plans for a Beta version of the game coming soon, so stay tuned!
