While the new patch isn’t that exciting, it does have a few juicy morsels. We’ve taken the liberty of highlighting the key points.
SPECTATOR MODE
One of the most important new features added with this latest patch is the spectator mode, you can read more about that here. Regretfully, in it’s present state, it’s a “cool feature” but ultimately rather useless, and more quaint than anything. Basically, the gist of it is: you have to create a custom game with 10 people, no more, no less, and THEN an 11th person can join the match to watch it. If the host bails, then it’s back to square one. Yeah, you heard that right, an 11th person needs to join, not a 12th or 13th etc. The spectator mode is limited to one person! Uh…why? Seems a bit silly to me.
BLITZ’S HITBOX FIX
Blitz has been notoriously easy to kill even behind his shield due to his humongous helmet (silly Germans!) Now the hitbox size has been reduced, and his shield size has been increased!
BLITZ’S FLASH
Up until this patch, even if you weren’t facing Blitz, he could blind you if you were within a certain radius of his flash, which was silly, it’s been fixed in this patch. Awesome!
NITRO CELL FIX
Yeah, this was a weird one. Previously, nitro cells would stick to the edges of tiny leaves and plants, and NOT where you wanted them to. FIXED!
KAPKAN TRAP FIX
Oh, remember that time when Kapkan killed you with his trap, and you didn’t even see the laser? Well, that was a thing for awhile, and a lot of players were exploiting it. It was fun when YOU were using it, but not when on the receiving end. Players rejoice!
CLUBHOUSE FALL
Previously, there was a bug where if you set a booby trap in the basement, you uh..fell…and kept on falling…forever. Well it’s fixed. Thank GAWD.
