16 years later: The Bard’s Tale IV announced Probably the biggest news of last week was the announcement that came on Saturday from inXile‘s CEO Brian Fargo. Ladies and gentlemen, the development of a new Bard’s Tale game is now a fact! Although information on the game so far is rather vague, Fargo confirmed that a Kickstarter campaign would launch soon to allow people to back the project, as happened with inXile’s Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenara. Beamdog confirm two new games in the works Beamdog have confirmed that they are indeed working on two new games, one of which will act as a bridge between Baldur’s Gate I and BGII. In a blog post released on Thursday, Amber Scott from Beamdog confirmed the developers are waist-deep in making two new games. See Global Entertainment and ZQGame, partnered together with Sony Pictures, have announced that they will be releasing a browser-based MMO based on the Total Recall IP. China-based ZQGame,  is the  developers of Planet Michael and Shadowland Online. Total Recall will render a 3D virtual modern world where players can engage in fierce PVP and explore outside environment. According to various sources, the game may be put on some social platform as well. The free-to-play micro-transaction model is what they’re aiming for with this IP apparently.
