Interview with the Devs: Planet Nomads

Interview with the Devs: Planet Nomads

Daniel Maslovský from Craneballs  was kind enough to shoot the shit with us about their new game, Planet Nomads, currently on Kickstarter. “Planet Nomads is a sandbox game of survival through building. Interview with The Devs: Into The Stars

Interview with The Devs: Into The Stars

At the time of writing, Into The Stars is bathing in the warm, green glow of Steam’s Greenlight programme, and the team behind it – Fugitive Games (composed of four industry veterans with backgrounds ranging from Battlefield to Lost Planet and Medal of Honor) – have met their $85,0000 Kickstarter target and are now venturing through stretch goal territory. All of this is excellent news for homebrew Captain Kirks and General Adamas everywhere, because while others in the current crop of space games are offering promises of citizenship or dangerous reputations, Into The Stars wants to drape the mantle of responsibility on your [...]

Week in Review (2015/Week 04)

Week in Review (2015/Week 04)

16 years later: The Bard’s Tale IV announced Probably the biggest news of last week was the announcement that came on Saturday from inXile‘s CEO Brian Fargo. Ladies and gentlemen, the development of a new Bard’s Tale game is now a fact! Although information on the game so far is rather vague, Fargo confirmed that a Kickstarter campaign would launch soon to allow people to back the project, as happened with inXile’s Wasteland 2 and Torment: Tides of Numenara. In terms of gameplay, the new Bard’s Tale will be a continuation of the original series (which their mediocre 2004 multi-format/mobile effort was [...]

Interview with the devs: Camelot Unchained

Interview with the devs: Camelot Unchained

Camelot Unchained  is an upcoming subscription-based, RvR-focused MMORPG being developed by City State Entertainment. We wrote about it a few weeks ago here. We had the chance to touch base with the creator, Mark Jacobs who was kind enough to answer a few of our questions. XP4T: What´s the latest on Camelot Unchained? Mark: The latest is that we have just passed the $3M mark in crowd-funded backing! While this pales in comparison to Star Citizen, it still places Camelot Unchained™ in the upper echelon of CF-backed games. Besides that, we just knocked 28 items off of our current to-do list and are getting close [...]

CAN’T F*CKIN’ WAIT: Camelot Unchained

CAN’T F*CKIN’ WAIT: Camelot Unchained

Camelot Unchained  is an upcoming subscription-based, RvR-focused MMORPG being developed by City State Entertainment. (RvR is an acronym for Realm vs. Realm, which apparently is a registered trademark of Electronic Arts). Mark Jacobs the former designer of Dark Age of Camelot is currently involved in the production. Camelot Unchained is considered to be a spiritual successor (something which Jacobs denies, although stating he could have legally done so had he chosen to) to Dark Age of Camelot and will prominently feature a PvP-centric design which Jacobs now calls “Tri-Realm” . As with Dark Age of Camelot, Camelot Unchained will borrow from Arthurian [...]
