Week in Review (2015/Week 05)

Good evening, and here is the XP4T news with your host, Neoheresy. If you’re a Raptr user, make haste to the password change section of your profile as it may have been stolen, as disclosed by Raptr’s CEO. You may also want to mark Valentine’s Day in you calendars, but this time for gaming purposes, as this is exactly when the open beta launched for pedestrian-squashing classic revival, Carmageddon Reincarnation. At XP4T.com, we love it when gamers shows their talents to the world and make something spectacular with the games they they love. That’s why we were particularly happy to see that a group of avid Portal 2 [...]

32 Years of Alien Games (Part 3)

32 Years of Alien Games (Part 3)

Well marines, it’s been a long and crazy ride, but hang tight, we’re finally nearing the end. We left the base in Part 1 for a look at the first ever Alien game, Fox’s own Atari 2600 Alien cartridge in 1982, and ended with the last of the licensed Alien 3 games and the now-legendary first of Rebellion Developments’ AvP games for the Atari Jaguar, all in 1994. To make a long story only slightly shorter, this led me to reinstalling the 2010 AvP, playing the Marine campaign for about 15 minutes, then quitting in terror before I’d even met the first alien (which is exactly how I played [...]

Give the Dog an Xbone: New Street Fighter PC/PS4 Exclusive What started mid-week as a rumour (via a video leak) turned out to be true after all – Capcom are working on a new Street Fighter game. The acclaimed Japanese publisher has now confirmed that what the leaked teaser was showing is, in fact, for real. Even though the official trailer – released a day later and being just a slightly modified variant of the leaked video – does not indicate when the title will be released, one thing about it is very important. The teaser confirmed that the game will be a PC and PS4 exclusive, and will [...]

Viking: Battle for Asgard PC Launch trailer

A fierce struggle is taking place within the realm of the Norse Gods.
