Metro: Last Light is the upcoming sequel to 2010’s critically acclaimed cult classic Metro 2033, originally showcased at the 2011 E3. It is a post-apocalyptic action based game with a combo of survival horror and FPS elements. The game was previously announced as Metro 2034, and although author Dmitry Glukhovsky has apparently been working with the developers, it bears no relevance to the book Metro 2034.
The recently released video (above) really captures a very intense and brutal struggle for survival in a post apocalyptic Moscow setting. Here’s what the devs had to say about the video:
In this sequence, Artyom is forced into an alliance with the young Red Line officer named Pavel as they attempt to cross the hostile surface of post-apocalyptic Moscow in a bid to reach the relative safety of the legendary station city, The Theatre.
The game is slated for a Q1 2013 release on both console and PC.
