Most Anticipated Games of 2016

The original Xcom took everyone by surprise by receiving acclaim from both media and fans alike. It was a solid title that was a worthy successor to the old Microprose games. Xcom 2 will be set 20 years after Xcom: Enemy Within seeing the Xcom team evolving as a resistance movement. What we will be seeing out of this title is new environments, new classes and the promise developer Firaxis to keep that same great tactical feel. As long as they One look at  the official video and you can pretty much bet that’s a promise they will keep

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Imagine a persistent, online, open-world New York where exploration, combat, and RPG player-progression are essential (so, not unlike real life then? – Travel Ed.). The Division is inspired by Operation Dark Winter and Directive 51, real-world events which “revealed how vulnerable we’ve become”, and according to which society has become “fragile” and “complex”. In the game, a disease spread by dirty bank notes on the busiest shopping day of the year, Black Friday, causes the United States to collapse in just five days. Stunning-looking Big Apple locations and an element of cooperation between you and your buddies promise lots of tactical action that’s been inspired by the reality of counter terrorist operatives across the world. Check out our first look here.  Ubisoft has had a hard time recently, and rightly so, with poorly optimized, glitchy releases like Assassins Creed Unity and Watchdogs making fools of us all. It’s a given that The Division will launch through the universally-hated Uplay, so it’s understandable that many people remain skeptical about this latest offering, which is a shame because it certainly has the potential to be a good one, just as long as they cook it long enough and work hard for a smooth launch.

Mass Effect Andromeda

There was no shortage of disheartened gamers after the original ending of Bioware´s Mass Effect 3 and many of us were left to wonder if we ever fall in love again with this franchise or was there going to be anything to fall in love at all. Well,  patch up those shattered emotions and embrace yourself for Mass Effect Andromeda the up and coming re-boot of the franchise.

Mass Effect Andromeda had it´s E3 teaser trailer released on 15th of June 2015 with the short announcement on the Bioware forums. Planned release on 2016 holiday season the game takes place on different galaxy and long after the events of the original series. While the developer has been quite silent about the game and it´s features there have been rumors around the internet that the game will contain most of the features of the original series with lots of tweaks. There will be new places to explore and whole new cast of npc´s to recruit and form your party with. Game uses Frosbite engine so we might see some cool destruction along the gameplay. Look to the skies!
